What You’ll Do

  • Obtain necessary documents from Service Managers and Operations Managers to facilitate the permit application process
  • Act as a liaison between the company and each municipality, ensuring all required approvals are obtained for permits
  • Prepare and submit applications to various agencies and boards overseeing required permits and approvals
  • Review issued plans for accurate revision dates and verify start package accuracy
  • Manage the permit submission process, ensuring timely approvals and compliance
  • Maintain schedules for all projects and coordinate with municipalities from approval to final permitting stages
  • Prepare check requests, collect accounts receivable payments, and process refunds as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate inspections, meetings, and appointments
  • Maintain company files related to site plan applications, approvals, licenses, permits, and registrations
  • Meet with Operations Managers and General Managers, attending meetings on behalf of the company to present projects and request approvals

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of permitting experience required
  • Experience with single/multi-family and amenity permitting preferred
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret permitting requirements
  • Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Preferred)

  • Previous experience working with municipalities
  • Knowledge of building codes and permit regulations
